Making a Difference Award 2016

The Town Council proudly hosted its fourth Making a Difference Award on Thursday 13 October in partnership with Radstock in Bloom presentations.  It was a delight to see so many people and the hall at Trinity Methodist Church was filled to overflowing.

This year's winner was Valerie Montague from Writhlington who has made many commitements to others through her life including; volunteering with Christian Aid, supporting the activities at Writhlington Village Hall and most of all she led Writhlinton Methodist Church until its closure in April.

The newly introduced Youth Award went to seventeen year old Amber Morrish who was credited by her colleagues for he passion and enthusiasm in engaging with local people and getting them involved in community projects in the town.
